Project 1 July 11-13 Mrs. Andrews
Mrs. Andrews is a disabled veteran and homeowner who cares for herself, her mother and her teenage son. They have been in their home since 2014. Mrs. Andrews reached out to us requesting assistance with getting some new windows and accessibility items. We agreed to replace seven windows, a front-entry door and a patio door, as well as five ceiling fans. We will need to use volunteers for all her work, including replacing several bathroom vanities, some minor drywall repairs and the replacement of her bathroom floor. If time allows, we also plan to paint her exterior trim.
She says that these repairs will greatly improve her family’s quality of life on a practical level. She and her mother will both benefit from the improved accessibility in her home. She would like to thank everyone for their time and efforts towards helping her family.
