Critical Home Repair

Critical Home Repair (CHR) helps low-income homeowners who struggle to maintain their homes due to limitations related to income, age, disability, or other circumstances. Through CHR, homeowners are able to work side-by-side with Central Oklahoma Habitat to restore their homes with pride and dignity. The program brings together volunteers who put their values to work helping homeowners in need. The end result is homes that are safe and maintained homeowners who are able to continue to occupy their homes, and renewed neighborhoods.
All you have to do is download the application and mail or hand deliver it to the Central Oklahoma Habitat office:
5005 S. I-35 Service Road
Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73129

Repairs include:

Installation of ramps and grab bars
Minor structural repairs
Caulk, seal, repair, or replace windows and doors
Additional insulation
Weatherization
Homes are selected for Critical Home Repair partnership based on greatest need, availability of resources, and the ability of volunteers to help complete the project.

Please consider donating as an individual, with your church, corporate group, or civic organization. All monies received from donations to the Critical Home Repair program go directly to the cost of materials and any contract labor necessary to repair and revitalize eligible homes.
