Project 8: May 22-24 (Memorial Day week project)
Avila
Mr. Avila came to us because he knew that he was going to be needing a new roof but could not afford it. He has been in his home for several years and has done a good job of maintaining it. Like many of our homeowners he has experienced some health issues which impacted on his ability to work full-time and in turn his finances. We want to help him do the necessary repairs to protect his home from further deterioration.
We have sent our roofer to replace his roof and we will also be providing him with better accessibility in his home by replacing his tub with a shower and installing grab bars. His bathroom will also be getting a new vanity and faucet along with a new heather and some drywall and floor repairs. We will also be replacing one window for him and sending plumbers to fix his plumbing issues. Please join us in giving him a safer, more accessible, and weatherized home.
