Project 4: Dixon / 5.14 – 5.16
Ms. Dixon lives alone and manages on a limited income, doing her best to care for her home. In recent years, however, keeping up with necessary maintenance and repairs has become increasingly difficult. After meeting with her and assessing the needs of the home, we’ve committed to stepping in and assisting with the following repairs to help restore safety, comfort, and peace of mind.
This month’s projects include repairing the plumbing and drain in the master bathroom while also checking other fixtures throughout the home. We’ll be removing carpet from the front bedroom, hallway, and dining room to prepare for a cleaner, safer living space. Volunteers will also help replace a ceiling fan and exterior lighting, complete minor drywall repairs, and install a new rear exterior door to improve both security and functionality.
