Our next family has dedicated their careers to giving back to their community. Mr. Hurst served in the U.S. Army and Mrs. Hurst is a retired teacher. The Hurst family has lived in their home for over 20 years. We have agreed to help them improve their home’s accessibility by replacing the bathtub with a shower and installing grab bars. We will also put in a new window upstairs and do some drywall and trim repairs.These repairs will mean so much to the Hurst family, who have difficulty maintaining their home due to health issues and disabilities. That’s why our good friends and partners at Tinker Federal Credit Union have agreed to help our veteran families with their sweat equity volunteer hours so they can get scheduled more quickly with Critical Home Repair. We still need volunteers to help do some repairs in the hallway and laundry room subfloor, as well as on the outside of their home. We will also need lots of volunteers to help give their two-story home a fresh coat of paint, so please consider helping this family who has given so much to the community.
